"Wicked Good" Organic Garden

During the summer we operate our Community Organic Garden. This significant project has been continuously inspired, executed and evolved by members of our production team since 2017. Starting with 6 raised beds and seedlings from local organic farmers, our garden has grown to 12 beds, multiple planting boxes, 6 fruit trees and bee hives. Beyond supplying our crew with some fresh produce, a portion of the bounty is donated to local food banks and soup kitchens, like the Bowdoinham Food Pantry, Midcoast Hunger Prevention Program, and Bath Area Food Bank. Since the inception of this initiative, our team does an annual "kickoff" for the growing season on Earth Day. The whole team spendings the afternoon picking up trash, cleaning debris from our campus, working on garden projects and celebrating the increased awareness concerning environmental issues impacting our planet. It's really special to be part of a team that goes the next step - tending the ecosystem of our surrounding campus creating a space for nature to thrive, which brings us all together for the greater good!

Coffee for our Troops

Coffee for our Troops is a project we partner alongside with The Maine Citadel Club and the Brunswick Church of Christ, along with many other local friends and business to send boxes of "items from home" to our troops stationed in the Middle East. This project started when Rick and Donna Porter of The Maine Citadel Club reached out to us in 2013 about donating our wicked good coffee for this cause. Through their inquiry, they learned that one of our owners is a West Point Graduate and Army Veteran who was very willing to support and grow this project. Through the years we have partnered with the Brunswick Church of Christ to ship OVER 4,700 boxes to our Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine units all over the world (Afghanistan, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq, United Arab Emirates). The church takes monetary donations that go directly to deter shipping costs of these care packages, which is the most expensive part of this project. If you are inclined to help with a monetary donation, please send a check to "Brunswick Church of Christ, 1 Jordan Ave., Brunswick, ME 04011-2117 [Please put MCFOT in the memo.] " You can also reach out here; https://coffeeforourtroops.us/
